I have always worked out, but it has always been sporadic. I never really enjoyed running, but I have always liked doing classes at our health club and participating in drills and boot camps.

The year before my 45th birthday, I went to meet my good friend at the finish line of the Nike Women's Marathon in San Francisco. I was so inspired by her and the excitement that I felt from every runner we came in contact with. I never thought I would be able to run 5 miles let alone 13.1.

The next year, I crossed the finish line of my first half marathon. I am now training for my 3rd half marathon and I also do boot camp 3 days a week. The challenge to finish, the group of fabulous women that I am training with and the overwhelming sense of accomplishment are what get me up everyday to train!
